About Ray - AKA One Man Six Strings
Our Musical Journey
My name is Ray Snow, also known as One Man, Six Strings. I’m a live solo singer and musician based in Benfleet, Essex, providing high-quality acoustic and backing-track entertainment for a wide range of events.
My setlist spans the 50s and 60s—including classics from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Hollies, Buddy Holly, Small Faces, The Who, and other Rock ’n’ Roll favourites—right through to modern classics and anthems that will have you singing along and dancing the night away.
For more relaxed occasions, I also offer laid-back acoustic sessions, perfect for guest arrivals, garden parties, cafés, or background music where a gentle, chilled atmosphere is preferred.
I’m available for bookings both within and outside Essex, including:
- Corporate events
- BBQs and garden parties
- Bar and café resident sets
- Birthday parties and background music
- Charity events (special rates available – please get in touch)
I can perform fully acoustic (no backing tracks) or in full swing mode with backing tracks, depending on the atmosphere you’d like to create. Every performance is tailored to suit your event and your audience.

- Solo Acoustic Set - one hour £185
- Solo Acoustic Set - 2 x 45 min sessions £295
- Evening gig with backing tracks - 3 hours 2 x 45 min sessions - With PA music £350
- Full afternoon/evening - Providing 3 x 45 minute live sets, music between breaks (4 hours), Live and non-live played £420
- New Years Eve - sessions from 8pm through to 1am. Live played music with backing tracks £550
My prices are fully inclusive (I am not VAT Registered), so price seen is the price you pay.
Terms:
* All bookings require payment at the time of booking, So..
* I will call you and text my details at the time of enquiry
* You will be emailed a full confirmation of your request
* Once you are happy with the performance plan, you will be sent an invoice.
* Full payment must be received prior to performance, either by cleared funds to hold booking
* Cancellations must be given with a clear 48 hour notice
* Cancellations within 48 hours receive a full refund, outside this term is non refundable
* Venues and gigs over 50 miles will be subject to fuel expense. This will not exceed £25.00.

* An area of approx 10ft x 10ft to perform
* An audience ready for fun...
* Access to the venue 90mins before, to ensure start on time
* Overhead cover if outside, with forecast of rain
Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs.
What information do you require about a venue?
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify/Apple Music or Prime Music before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
What do I need to ensure your event is well received?
All I need is 1 x power socket, and place to perform.
